In thinking about all the ways to contextualize what I’m currently working through in professional nonprofit spaces, Indigenous (Lakota/Dakota) traditions, social justice movements, and in the political arena, there’s so much I want to share. But thankfully, templates exist for good reason.
In this series, I’m going through work on how I have (and am still currently) decolonizing and deconstructing white supremacy culture.
Background

I came up in political field organizing from 2006-2010. It’s a very specific methodology that I go back to as often as a doctor might go back to anatomy texts. The field organizing I learned was built on Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy and the Wellstone model that merged data-driven analysis and paired it with authentic community-building. And it won Barack Obama the presidency.
